A layman knows when he has to kick it, the amateur knows where to kick it, but the professional knows how hard.
![]() ![]() Data recovery technologyData recovery involves a special technological process, during which we first determine the nature of the data loss, and then replace or substitute the faulty components, whether they be hardware or software. The aim of the procedure is not to establish the reason for the data loss or to repair the technical components. The main challenge for data restorers is that the type of error found depends on the level of component involved. Hardware errors can be of an almost molecular magnitude, while software errors can lie in single individual bites (units of data), billions of which go to make up the data stored by your company on a daily basis. We launched our business in the 1970s, with the repair of defective storage media: first floppy discs, then hard disc drives, gaining a wealth of expertise in this highly specialised field. Then personal computers arrived, sweeping away all before them like a tidal wave in Hungary, and everywhere else in the world, for that matter. The proliferation of PCs brought many new challenges, which continue to grow. To our knowledge, at least 10,000 types of hard disks have been manufactured to date, and new types of storage media are being developed every day. And despite what manufacturers claim, not even these new technologies are fail-safe. In order to keep pace with the technological advances we had to venture boldly into the new territory of software applications. We had to build up our understanding of software, such as the built-in programs that control the operation of hard drives (firmware), or the internal structure of operating systems. There are many operating systems around, and new versions are springing up all the time, while computers linked together in networks or via the internet are continuously exposed to the danger of viruses.
