The methodology of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) was developed by experts of CCTA (Central Computing and Telecommunications Agency) for the purpose of supporting high quality and cost-efficient IT services. ITIL determines the implementation of service management functions in their whole life-cycle: design, introduction, operation and introduction of newer services.
ITIL is a consistent and comprehensive set of documents containing procedures and best practices accepted in the IT industry in the field of IT service management. Nowadays, on the basis of the guidelines found in the relating technical literature, a fully comprehensive ITIL philosophy has been developed, providing a suitable guideline for making IT services secure.
