Virus protection solutions
Today's information culture (or lack of it), the spread of mass technical and communication devices, the networking of computers through the internet and the use of email have all created a favourable environment for the spawning and spread of computer viruses as well as various other IT threats or hacking programs. Every IT user now has to resign him or herself to the existence of computer viruses; indeed, viruses have become the constant companions of users in the 21st-century digital world. And viruses these days do not just mean the uncontrollable spread of certain programs but also the proliferation of malicious programs that can open information systems up to the internet and so make confidential data public in places where anyone can access them without authorisation or control. Within KÜRT's virus protection consultancy service, our primary concern is the planning, installation, operation and control of internet access, mail systems, central document storage, encryption systems and other office applications. Part of our remit is the installation of virus protection layers to protect workstations, file and application servers, as well as firewalls and mail servers, taking into account the installation possibilities for both real-time (active) and offline (passive) modes of operation. We also determine the general rules for sending virus samples to manufacturers and developers, and identify the required skills, experience and regular training necessary for IT staff responsible for virus protection.
