Data destruction
The volume of information managed within organizations and companies is increasing with ever more rapidity. At the same time, the technology used for storing this information is also evolving quickly, so that the life cycle of IT devices is now a mere 1-2 years. This means that organizations have to replace their IT devices frequently. However, worn-out computers, data storage equipment and media may contain confidential data that should be protected from the hands of unauthorised persons. KÜRT's service package offers solutions to every problem of data destruction. The number of possible options is enormous: superfluous data, rented and obsolete media or media to be amortised or sold, complex data storage and archiving systems to be replaced, floppy, CD, DVD and magneto-optical disks, corporate data stored on computers or data storage equipment sent for servicing, to name but a few. The procedures necessary are different in almost every case, but what they all have in common is that they are applied in line with the current policies and procedures of the client company. It is frequently a requirement for organizations to be able to prove that data destruction has been carried out officially and legally. In these cases, we keep a written record of the data destruction and appendix a declaration by a judicial expert that no data can be recovered from the storage media which has been destroyed. We provide data destruction as a service, although our customers are also free to purchase the products needed for various procedures
