The process of recovery

In a standard case of data recovery we follow the procedure outlined below.

When we receive a data storage device our first step is to analyse the data medium.

Step 1: Analysis and Diagnosis

Based on our analysis we make a diagnosis of the problem and provide you with an Expert Opinion, which will include the following:

The reason for the data loss
An opinion as to whether it is possible to recover the lost data
If recovery is possible, the probability ratio of recovering the data
The costs involved (in the form of a binding offer). If the data loss is due to a software problem (no access, deleted, formatted etc.) and there is no need to use our clean-room laboratories, then the analysis will be free of charge. Please see our price-list for further details.

If you would now like to place an order for data loss analysis, please proceed to our online order form.

This will notify us in advance of your needs, so that we can make any preparations necessary to recover your data.

Send us the data storage device for analysis, together with the signed order form. At your request we can also colect the medium from your premises. Or you can drop into our office personally. In the case of the Emergency or Express Service any transport provided will be free of charge.

Please note that the fee for the diagnosis must be paid in advance.

Step 2: Data recovery

Once you have received our Expert Opinion, including a binding offer for your data recovery, you may decide, based on the diagnosis information (likely quantity of recoverable data, price, and time needed for recovery) to either

Commission us to recover the data under the specified conditions, or
Decline our data recovery service.
When ordering data recovery, please complete and return the order form. The payment terms for recovery are the same as those for requesting an Expert Opinion.

The fees for our services are usually payable in advance.
