Data Defender operates as a Windows service, that is, protection is activated along with the operating system and it cannot be turned off practically thanks to a special protection routine. (the system also records attempts to switch it off)

Sophisticated client-server architecture, central administration interface to communicate with user modules.

Central administration, control and monitoring ensure seamless and efficient system operation. Built-in intelligence makes the majority of copying permission processes automated.

The administration interface can be used to install, configure, and update the software and set restrictions at a user or group level even on an IP network consisting of several thousand computers.

Thanks to comprehensive logging functionality, data movements and user requests can be traced and identified.

Using the software component running on workstations, taking data away from the system can be restricted, prevented or traced afterwards

Data Defender is connected to the user management of operating systems (such as Microsoft Active Directory) and maintains users on an ongoing basis using automated synchronisation.

Licensing can be changed dynamically, the maximum number of clients that can be managed is related to the number of purchased client licenses. The license management unit of the administration interface supports dynamic modification of licenses.

Data Defender operates at user level, that is, rights can be granted to a specific user. These rights remain valid if a user logs in on another workstation.

The software can also manage those workstations of a company that are not connected to a network.

Settings with a wide range of parameters allow configuration practically as required, at group and individual user level alike.

The structure of Data Defender ensures that any language version can be implemented. At present, English, German and Hungarian versions are available.

Data Defender can be installed manually or automatically. In the latter case, it is not needed to set up workstations individually or to carry out any manual intervention.
